This Champagne Cardigan by PetiteKnit is worked from top down with raglan increases on the yoke and a deep V-neck. The button placket is worked in double knitting. It is worked flat and is designed with an oversized fit.

Supplies:

Champagne Cardigan pattern (click here to visit the Ravelry page for the pattern)
Needles: size US 7 (4.5mm) 32 or 40 inch circular and size US 7 for your favorite method for small circumference knitting (sleeves), size US 2.5 (3mm) 40 inch circular and double point needle.
Yarn: The designer used a dk weight and a mohair held double. This is the same as a worsted weight yarn. The shop model is made in Plymouth Galway worsted weight yarn. There will be a yardage guide in the shop if choosing worsted weight yarn.

Skills Required:

This is an advanced beginner class.

Students must be able to knit and purl, knit and understand a gauge swatch, create m1 increases, and bind off.

Skills Learned:

Short rows, double knitting, picking up stitches, Italian bind off, and buttonholes.

Homework:

Purchase supplies. Then make and block your gauge swatch.

Class Size: 5 students maximum, 2 students minimum. If the 2 student minimum is not met, Needles in the Haymarket can either refund the class or move the student to a class scheduled at a later date.
