Socks on Two Circulars
Intrigued by hand made socks, but intimidated by 4 or 5 needles? This class will teach you how to make socks using two circular needles. We will be using a DK Weight Sock Yarn, using one color, however, if you would like to choose a contrast color for the cuff, heels and toes, you may do absolutely try it.

3 - Two hour sessions
Supplies: 1 Ball of DK weight sock yarn (a second contrast color may be chosen)
1 - 16” circular needle to give gauge of 6 stitches per inch (and)
1 - 24” circular needle to give gauge of 6 stitches per inch
(Or) 2 - 24” inch circular needle to give gauge of 6 stitches per inch that are two different brands

Tapestry needle
Skills Required: Understand casting on, knit, and purl.
Skills Learned: Long Tail or German Twisted Cast On, joining and knitting in the round, changing yarns, turning a heel, picking up the gusset, toe decreases and Kitchener stitch.
Homework: Please knit a gauge swatch, cast on 24 stitches, knit 2, purl 2 with a gauge of 8 stitches to the inch.
