Ranunculus Sweater
The Ranunculus is one of the most popular and unique designs on Ravelry. This sweater can be made in any weight yarn from lace weight to worsted. Sizing for this sweater is up to you. Most knitters have made this to be a very oversized sweater but that is up to you. Come join us as we explore the many phases of this design.

Supplies:
The yarn: This sweater is very unique and allows you to use a lace to worsted weight yarn. Shop samples are in DK. Please take time to review the projects on Ravelry to determine the look you want for your sweater. (The shop has a samples of a swatch I made in Cotton Cashmere, using size 10, 9, and 8 needles.) Sweater sample in Felted Tweed on size 10 needle and is a size 3 and the beginning of a Ranunculus made in Cotton Cashmere on a size 8 needle.
US 10 (6mm) circular needle 29-32 inch or size needed for gauge and yarn
US 10 (6mm) circular needle 12 inch or a set of double points or size needed for gauge
US 8 (5mm) circular needle or size needed for gauge and yarn
Stitch markers, tapestry needle, waste yarn, crochet hook (for the smaller neckline).

Skills Required:
Recommended for the advanced beginner or intermediate knitter. Students need to be
comfortable knitting and purling, working in the round, knit in the back of the stitch, K2tog, and binding off.
Skills Learned:
Lifted increase, knit front and back of stitch, slip slip knit, German short rows, Double-Twist loop cast on or tubular cast on (both will be taught and shown with the aid of a video) I-Cord bind off

Make a sample/swatch of the yarn and needle size you plan to use. Purchase and

Class Size:
5 maximum, 2 minimum. If the 2-student minimum is not met, Needles in the Haymarket can either refund the class or move the student to a class scheduled at a later date.
