Beginning Crochet
Just learning to crochet? This is the class for you. Review of basic stitches, learn how to add new yarn and create even edges. Exploration of new stitches such as half double, double and treble crochet. Must have basic crochet skills of how to hold hook and yarn, knowledge of chain and single crochet stitches.
After taking this class, the student will have mastered foundational crochet stitches used in making granny squares and more. The student will have learned different methods of joining new yarn and will be able to create straight edges with the use of stitch markers. Class is taught by a Craft Yarn Council Certified Teacher and Instructor
Supplies needed: size I hook and worsted weight yarn. Recommend purchasing Learn to Crochet booklet sold in the store.
Students taking this class must have basic crochet skills: how to hold hook and yarn, knowledge of chain and single crochet stitches.
