Knit Companion for iPad Users
Join our Knit Companion class, designed specifically for iPad users, where you will unlock the full potential of this powerful app! Instructor: Ruth Santos
1 session – 1.5 hours
Supplies: Your iPad. The instructor will use a TV screen to display her iPad screen to the class - bring your reading/eyeglasses if you use them.
Skills Required: Basic knowledge of the Knit Companion app’s free version is beneficial but not required. Basic navigational knowledge of most apps on iOS – open, close, tapping, swiping. If you use an Apple Pencil, know how to access its controls (optional).
Skills Learned: organize patterns, track projects, smart row counters, magic markers, set up repeats and reminders, and set up charts and keys (legends) for patterns.
Homework: To get the most out of the class, you should have an annual subscription to Knit Companion installed and ready to use for class on your iPad. We will be using the same pattern in class to learn from. Please download the free pattern by Filipa Carneiro called “Cascata” from Ravelry – link here: Ravelry: Cascata pattern by Filipa Carneiro This short-sleeved is a great pattern to learn how the innovative features of Knit Companion work and hopefully, you’ll even plan to knit it after setting it up in your trusty app! Please have the pattern already downloaded to your Knit Companion app before class.
Class Size: 10 students maximum, 5 students minimum. If the 5 student minimum is not met, Needles in the Haymarket can either refund the class or move the student to a class scheduled at a later date.
