Falling Snow Christmas Stocking (Monday, Sept 11th, 18th, 25th, 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.)

Let's make a colorwork stocking! It's never too early to start your holiday knitting. This beautiful pattern uses bulky weight yarn and US 10 needles. It can be personalized to incorporate a loved ones name. Instructor: Laura Call 3 - Two hour sessions: Mondays, September 11th, 18th, and 25th (2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.) Supplies: Three bulky weight skeins of yarn (2 in the main color and 1 in the contrast color). Size US 10 knitting needles (either 16 inch length, or long [32 inches or more for magic loop], or double pointed needles). Skills Required: Students MUST know how to knit in the round, work a k2tog and an ssk, and how to pick up stitches. If you would like to use magic loop or double pointed needles, please already be comfortable with your chosen technique. Skills Learned: 2 color long tail cast-on, Latvian braid, working two colors per round, how to read a colorwork chart, and duplicate stitch. Homework: Download Falling Snow pattern from Ravelry and bring to class with other supplies. Class Size: 4 students maximum, 1 student minimum. This class is "mask optional".
